Melody Gardot - американская джазовая певица, родом из Нью Джерси.
Начало карьеры Gardot положила реабилитация после аварии, в которую она попала в возрасте девятнадцати лет (она попала под автомобиль, катаясь на велосипеде). После аварии, Gardot рекомендовали пройти курс музыкальной терапии, как способ восстановить ее когнитивные повреждения. До этого она играла на фортепиано и было высказано предположение, что музыкальная терапия поможет заново выстроить нейронные пути. Не имея возможности сидеть за фортепиано из-за сломанного таза, Melody научилась играть на гитаре.
